Sadly no, the userbase on Dreamwidth is still fairly small. Of course, that’s not necessarily a reason not to take up there: people are precisely what we need! I’m arethinn there (of course). There are two general otherkin communities that I’m aware of, although both are very low traffic: otherkin and otherkin_haven. I don’t know about therian-oriented communities.
No, really, I’ve yet to find a social media platform I’ve liked as much as that one.
Sometimes I get such Livejournal nostalgia but it’s all sad & echoey in there now. I’d support your movement though. It could be very retro chic.

Yes please! It’s so hard to interact on Tumblr the way that the LiveJournal platform enables. Or rather - since I, like many, have been annoyed with LJ’s business practices and how they treat their users for some years now - how about all y’all go retro-forward-chic and come to Dreamwidth instead.
